This National event in our area hosted at MAGNA - see details of this 2025 event below . We look forward to seeing this back in 2026 and 2027 and 2028 :)Â
First event here in Rotherham = You may have heard that the long running Rotherham Real Ale & Music Festival took place for the final time 2024. However, the good news is CAMRA is bringing the winter edition of the Great British Beer Festival to Rotherham to fill the gap for the next few years and we are proud to be hosting it here, first event Magna, 12 to 15 February 2025.Â
The event was held in Burton on Trent for the last few years. In Rotherham it will be bigger and better. It will be similar to the previous Rotherham festivals at Magna but with some new features and subtle tweaks including the bars taking card payment, cooled beer and a heated venue!
At the festival there will be around 300 cask ales plus around 30 other UK craft beers on tap, imported beers in keg, cask and bottle, cider & perry, wine & spirits, games, live music and more.Â
As with all CAMRA festivals it is run by volunteers and we are looking for local members to help us put on a great show. Although it's unpaid work you do get to try some of the beer for free and if you are working a full shift we'll sort you out with a meal too. Not all the jobs are behind bars either if that's not your thing.Â
If you fancy coming to the festival as a visitor as a CAMRA member you get a £2 discount on entry tickets, there is also a further £2 discount if you buy online in advance rather than on the door. Full price is £12 on the door which includes a souvenir glass.
To get to Magna First bus X3 (Doncaster-Rotherham-Sheffield) runs regularly along Sheffield Road behind the venue. Timetable at travelsouthyorkshire.com.
Additionally from around 4pm each day a special shuttle bus X3a will run from Rotherham Interchange to Magna's main entrance, a flat fare of £2.50 is payable on this service (festival volunteers can use it for free once signed in and issued with a staff badge). Timetable available on bustimes.org.Â
